Tradicionalna japanska testera sa drvenom drškom pruža autentičan osećaj. List je od japanskog SK5 čelika, debljine 0,5mm. Tanko sečivo pruža veliku fleksibilnost i preciznost za savršen rez prilikom pravljenja nameštaja i sl. List na japanskoj testeri ima dve oštrice sa različitim tipovima zuba (sa različitim brušenjem) za sečenje drveta u smeru kretanja vlakana i popreko.
Brušenje je takvo da seče samo pri povlačenju što omogućava precizno i kontrolisano sečenje sa minimalnom snagom. Zubi su kaljeni radi veće izdržljivosti i oštrine. List je tretiran protiv rđanja, ali ga treba očistiti nakon upotrebe i podmazati sa vremena na vreme kako bi se zaštita održala tokom vremena.
